My Nutrition Philosophy

I am weight-inclusive and use a non-diet approach. I promote balanced nutrition without strict rules about what can/cannot be eaten.

  • Weight inclusive: I focus on behaviors and objective health data, rather than weight (Weight is not a behavior!) People of all body sizes can improve their health and well-being.
  • Non-diet: The word “diet” simply refers to the pattern of foods and beverages you routinely consume. I can help you determine the foods and eating pattern that make you feel your best. I do not, however, “prescribe” meal plans, weight loss diets, or restrictive fad diets.

Holistic approach: The foods you eat are just one aspect of your overall health. I also explore the impact of sleep, exercise, stress and other lifestyle habits that may be impacting your health.

We live in a weight obsessed culture. You might be skeptical if this approach will work for you- that’s ok. We will talk about this as we work together, helping you find a healthy relationship with food and fitness.
